Near the Pier. What to do, see, eat and drink in St. Pete.

The new St. Pete Pier opened up and it’s great for a family fun day, hanging out with friends and even date night. However, if you want to spend your weekend where it might be a little less crowded there are a bunch of options near the St. Pete Pier. From shopping, to art, and activities to do with the kiddos, St. Pete is the perfect playground for everyone.

Eat and drink

First on our list near the St. Pete Pier is The Canopy, a rooftop lounge with phenomenal waterfront views. If you’re ballin’ without a budget they have private cabanas you can rent for special events or just because. It also features living room seating and high top tables. This is the perfect spot for date night! Their happy hour includes $3 domestic beers and $5 dollar sangria. The food is also great, it is served a la cart and features flatbreads, burgers and charcuterie.

If you’re looking for something a little more low key, I suggest where you’ll find the locals, the Five Bucks Drinkery. This is a hole in the wall bar with all menu items all priced around, you guessed it, five bucks! While it doesn’t have waterfront views, it does have the best spicy chicken nachos and 32 oz. drinks. It has been featured on the Travel Channel, MTV and the Food Network!

Last on our list for food and drinks near the St. Peter Pier is Try Wine. If you love wine this is the perfect spot for eating, drinking AND shopping! They have 88 wine on tap. You can do it by the glass or take tours with flights they offer. They also offer “wine dining”  where the wine is chosen to pair with the food. The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. Try Wine is a great date night spot or night out with the girls.

See and play
